Education Research Complete. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,840 journals, as well as full text for more than 950 journals. This database also includes full text for 81 books and monographs, and full text for numerous education-related conference papers.
Rationale
The Schools of Education are large schools at all three campuses and have relatively few subject specific database services. This augments those services on a platform the students are already familiar with.

We had Education Research Complete (ERC) on trial in 2007 and I had an extensive look at it. I ran a number of sample searches on typical issues covered in the university's units in the College of Education. The searches were run on ERC, ERIC, Academic Search Premier, A+ Education and other databases relevant to the topics searched.
The results showed that ERC would add significantly to information resources in education - and especially in relevant articles from peer-reviewed journals.
I'd consider it a hight priority addition to our information tools for education staff and students.
